All-New 2nd Avenue for Urbanites!
I’m a late-night TV haggler. Since my day job requires me to work most of the day, I only have the night to haggle the telly. And I usually spend my late night relaxing and watching wonderful TV shows - usually tuned in to one the hottest channel in town, 2nd Avenue.
Ellen is the one show that put smile on my face every weeknight. I mean, how can you resist watching that show? The guests, the giveaways, the games and the dance moves, it’s just so nice to watch it at night before hitting the sack.
Last Friday, I got to attend the launching of 2nd Avenue’s new primetime schedule, dubbed as Evening Escape, which was held at the Ayala Triangle Park, Makati City.
But before I share to you what happened on this event, here are some of the stuff that you should keep in mind starting now:
February 5 – Dying Young
While your Tuesday nights, from that same timeslot, will be filled by Top Chef: Just Desserts and Top Chef: Washington D.C., back to back.

Hosted by DJ Gelli Victor of Monster Radio RX 93.1, guests were treated to a night of easy listening and spectacular giveaways.
But before I share to you what happened on this event, here are some of the stuff that you should keep in mind starting now:
Entertainment Tonight with Mary Hart and Mark Steines can now catch at 7 p.m. while The Insider with Chris Jacobs and Lara Spencer is on at 7:30 p.m.
On the 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. spot, your Monday night will be occupied by The Screening Room featuring movies that suit to hippest urbanites in town.
February 5 – Dying Young
February 12 – City of Angels
February 19 – Atonement
February 26 – The Lake House
While your Tuesday nights, from that same timeslot, will be filled by Top Chef: Just Desserts and Top Chef: Washington D.C., back to back.
Midweek Wednesday will keep you alive and kicking with the premier of Modern Family Season 2 and the undeniable intense workout of Thintervention.
And lastly, your Thursday and Friday will give you a great way to end a busy week with The Gates, The Mentalist Season 2, Nip/Tuck Season 6 and Royal Pains Season 2.
While my favourite US talk show, Ellen, will be on the 10 p.m. spot! Nice!
Going back to the Evening Escape Party, aside from the wonderful music rendered by these really good performers, 2nd Avenue also gave out some amazing prizes that kept the audience on their toes.
And lastly, to really enjoy this fantabulous gathering, delectable dishes and sparkling wines were served to all of us.
Really fantabulous, indeed!
